Describe Yourself : )

Daily writing prompt
How would you describe yourself to someone?

If you asked me to describe myself, I’d probably hesitate for a moment — not because I don’t know who I am, but because I’m ever-changing, always growing, and sometimes hard to pin down.

But here goes, the most honest version I can give:

🧡 I Am Soft but Strong

I feel things deeply. I care — maybe more than I should sometimes. I’ll cry at a movie, light up over a cup of coffee, and hold space for someone’s story like it’s the most important thing in the world.
But don’t confuse my softness for weakness. I’ve lived through pain — real, relentless pain — and I still show up. That’s strength.

💬 I’m Honest (Maybe to a Fault)

I’ll tell you how I feel. I’ll speak up when something’s not right. I value truth, even when it’s uncomfortable, because I believe honesty builds real connection. I’m learning to share with kindness — and not just rawness.

🎨 I’m Creative

I find beauty in words, in journaling, in crafting a cosy space. I love creating — not for perfection, but for peace. Whether it’s planning a dream trip in my head, designing a mood board, or writing something that helps someone else feel less alone — creativity grounds me.

🌿 I’m Trying

Trying to heal. Trying to be present. Trying to raise kind humans while managing chronic pain and still remembering to drink water. I don’t always get it right — but I never stop trying.

🐧 I’m a Little Quirky

Yes, I love penguins. I have spent hours watching Big Bang Theory, and I’d rather snuggle on a sofa than go out partying. I like people who are a little weird, a little deep, a little soulful. I like being one of them too.

🤗 I Love People (But Also Need My Space)

I love connecting. I love hearing someone’s story and being a safe place. But I also deeply value quiet, stillness, and alone time. I refuel in silence. I cherish slow moments with the people I love.

💫 I’m Evolving

Who I was five years ago isn’t who I am now. And who I’ll be five years from now? I hope she’s even more free, more joyful, more rooted. I embrace the journey.

“You are not a finished product. You are a process, a masterpiece in motion.”

Whether I’m a little messy, deeply loving, or a constant work in progress — this is me. Real, soft, curious, and trying my best. And honestly? I kind of like her.

How would you describe yourself?
