We often think of risk as something big, scary, or dangerous—but not all risks are reckless. In fact, some of the most life-changing decisions come from small, thoughtful risks that stretch us just enough to grow.
A few years ago, I took a risk. We sold our beautiful country house—a home many would dream of—to move into a tiny house in the city. On paper, it didn’t make much sense. We traded space for simplicity, peace for buzz. But what we gained was vibrancy, connection, and freedom.
Now, we live with the best of both worlds: the charm of city life with peaceful lakes and rivers just steps away. It’s full of contrast, color, and unexpected joy.
Taking that risk taught me that comfort doesn’t always equal fulfillment. Sometimes, stepping into the unknown—just a little—is the very thing that leads you home.

“Not only are you afraid when facing the unknown, so is the rest of humanity.”
A classic courage-boost—this book helped me see fear not as a stop sign, but as an invitation to grow.
