Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.
Wow. You actually made it—a whole century of life. What an incredible privilege to have seen so much, to have lived through all the changes, the joys, the struggles, and the quiet moments in between.
I wonder—did it all pass in the blink of an eye?
Life has always unfolded in chapters, hasn’t it? Every few years brought a shift—new adventures, fresh lessons, and a continually evolving version of me.
And now, here you are, a walking library of stories, wisdom, and, I hope, a touch of delightful mischief.
But the real question—did you make it to Italy?
After the kids grew up and flew the nest, did you finally pack your bags and go?
Did you wander through cobblestone streets, sip espresso under a warm Italian sun, and lose yourself in the timeless beauty of the country?
Or perhaps you found yourself settling into a Blue Zone, surrounded by people who savor life, take their time, and share plenty of laughter over simple, satisfying meals.
And most importantly, do the kids and their families come and visit?
I hope that every summer—and whenever there’s a free moment—you’re surrounded by the warmth and joy of family, all gathering in Italy to share in your adventures and create new memories together.
I hope you never stopped learning, never stopped moving, and never stopped finding new reasons to smile.
Your journey is a testament to resilience, curiosity, and the joy of discovery—even if it’s just in the small, everyday moments.
If I’m lucky enough to reach you one day, I want to arrive with a grateful heart, a curious mind, and the same excitement for life that I feel right now.
Until then, I’m off to live, to explore, to make mistakes, and to cherish every beautiful moment.
Take care, old friend.
You’ve earned every bit of this extraordinary adventure.
With love,
Your Younger Self
