Would you try a Vegan Diet?

What are your feelings about eating meat?

For most of my life, eating meat was second nature. I didn’t think much about it—until I watched What the Health on Netflix. The documentary opened my eyes to the environmental, ethical, and health impacts of consuming animal products. Around the same time, my doctor informed me that I had high cholesterol. It felt like a sign to make a change.

I decided to try a vegan diet, and the results were transformative. Not only did my cholesterol levels improve significantly, but I also discovered a newfound joy in exploring plant-based foods. Meals felt vibrant and full of life, and I appreciated the alignment between my health and my ethical values.

This shift wasn’t just about cholesterol or the environment—it became a journey of intentional living. Whether you’re curious about veganism or just rethinking your diet, exploring your choices with an open mind can lead to unexpected growth and positive change.

However, this past year, managing chronic pain forced me to simplify my life, including my diet. I’m not fully vegan anymore, but I still carry the lessons I learned. As my health stabilizes, I’m considering returning to it because of the benefits I experienced. It’s a reminder that health journeys aren’t linear—they’re about balance and doing what works for you at each stage of life.

If you’ve ever considered dietary changes, let your body guide you—it’s worth exploring!
