If I had to compare myself to an animal, I’d probably say a penguin.
First of all, I waddle — especially on the stiff, sore days. It’s not exactly graceful, but it gets the job done! Penguins don’t rush, and neither do I these days.
I also love the water, especially cold water. Ice swims, sea dips, that refreshing shock that wakes up every part of your body — that feels like home to me. Penguins thrive in the cold, and I think a part of me does too.
Another reason? I love collecting pebbles from the beach. There’s something simple and satisfying about picking up a small stone that catches your eye and bringing it home. Penguins do the same, carefully choosing pebbles and treasures.
And when penguins love, they love deeply. They commit, they protect, they stay loyal.
So yes — if I were an animal, I’d happily be a penguin. A little wobbly on land, happiest near the water, collecting small treasures, and loving with my whole heart.
What animal are you?
