Campervan Dreams :)

Daily writing prompt
What are your future travel plans?

When I think about future travel, one vision stands out above all the rest:
A campervan adventure around Ireland

There’s something so magical about the idea of hitting the road with no rigid itinerary, just the open landscape of Ireland stretching before me, full of hidden gems, breathtaking views, and quiet moments of freedom.

Why Ireland?

Ireland is home. It’s wild and green, full of mystery, beauty, and stories around every bend. And while I’ve seen some of it, I know there’s so much more waiting to be explored.

From the rugged cliffs of Donegal to the peaceful lakes in Kerry, the historic villages of the east to the crashing Atlantic coastlines of the west — I want to see it all.

But not just the popular spots.
I want to discover the hidden beaches, the quiet forest trails, the tiny coffee huts, and warm local pubs that never make it onto Instagram.

Why a Campervan?

The campervan dream is about freedom and flexibility.

  • 🗺️ Move when I want
  • 🛑 Stay when it feels right
  • 🚿 Have the comforts of a toilet, shower, and cosy bed
  • 🍳 Make a cuppa wherever I am and watch the sunrise or sunset from anywhere

There’s no rushing, no packing and unpacking, no hotel bookings or timetables. Just the road, my pace, and the space to rest when I need to and explore when I can.

The Real Dream

More than just travel, this dream is about freedom — especially important when managing pain, exhaustion, or just needing time alone.

Having my own space as I go means I can take care of myself while still living the adventure. It’s a gentle way to explore — no pressure, just peace.

And imagine the joy of sharing this with people I love — my kids giggling in the back, pulling into a field to make sandwiches, finding fairy trees and castle ruins, snuggling up with blankets under a stormy Irish sky.

“Some journeys take you far from home. Some adventures lead you to your soul.”

Whether it happens next year or in five, this dream is planted. And someday soon, I’ll be driving along the coast, window down, kettle on, and heart full.

And maybe I’ll see you on the road.
