Embrace Your Feelings :) Finding Balance in Emotion

Take a moment and pick a word to describe how you’re feeling today.

It could be anything—happy, stressed, tired, confused. Whatever it is, embrace that word fully for a moment.

Now, think of the word that is the complete opposite.

If you’re feeling “tired,” the opposite might be “energetic.” If you’re “stressed,” perhaps it’s “calm.”

What’s Good About Both Words?

Each word offers insight.

“Tired” shows you’ve been working hard, and rest is needed. “Energetic” suggests motivation and readiness for action. Each state has its benefits, but they also come with challenges. “Tired” might mean a need for self-care, while “energetic” might come with expectations you need to meet.

Finding the Balance

By recognizing both sides, you can grow from them.

Understanding that it’s okay to be tired and to rest gives you permission to replenish, and understanding that being energetic can lead to productivity teaches you to take action when you’re ready. The key to growth is finding a balance between both: resting when needed, and acting when possible.
