I adapted to the pandemic the only way I knew how—by going with the flow.
Every day, I woke up and took things as they came. I went for walks, breathed in the quiet streets, and found peace in the stillness.
I connected with my family, both at home and online, and I poured myself into my work, doing my best to stay grounded. I followed the rules as best I could, not just for myself, but out of respect for others.
In the beginning, there was this incredible sense of unity.
We’re all in this together.
It was beautiful to witness—people looking out for each other, clapping for healthcare workers, offering help where they could.
Kindness and respect felt like they were at the forefront of everything.
But somewhere along the way, it all changed.
People grew tired, frustrated, distrustful. The unity unraveled. The world became a battleground of opinions, skepticism, and anger.
Trust—once so freely given—began to disappear.
It felt like the pandemic had become the catalyst for something much darker: division, resentment, and a deep loss of faith in one another.
I often wonder—were the conspiracies true? Did we live through something far bigger than we ever realized? I don’t know. Maybe I never will.
What I do know is that I lived through it with kindness and love for humanity. No one can take that away from me.
Through it all, I truly got to know people—not just on the surface, but at their core.
I saw the selfish, the ones who only looked out for themselves.
I saw the fear, the ones who struggled to cope.
I saw the love, the ones who carried kindness despite it all. Some friendships grew stronger, others crumbled under the weight of differing perspectives.
The world may have changed, but so did I.
And if nothing else, I choose to hold onto the good—the moments of connection, the small acts of kindness, and the unwavering belief that we can still be better to each other.
Because even in the chaos, I know that love, respect, and humanity still matter.
