Owning My Struggles

You’re writing your autobiography. What’s your opening sentence?

Every struggle I faced was my own doing.

The mistakes, the missteps, the pain—I can’t blame anyone else. It would be easy to make excuses, to shift the weight onto others, but the truth is, I made the choices that led me here.

And yet, despite it all, I kept trying.

I stumbled, I fell, but I got back up.

To try” means to make an effort, attempt, or push forward despite challenges.

It implies persistence, determination, and resilience in the face of obstacles.

Does Everyone Try This Hard?

I often wonder.

Do they wake up every day feeling like they’re pushing against a storm, or is it just me?

Some people make life look effortless, gliding through without the constant battles.

For me, every step has been a fight—against pain, against doubt.

What matters is that I keep going.

The ironic thing?

I love rugby now—a game built on the try. Maybe that’s life, too. You take the hits, you own your faults, and you keep pushing forward.

Because in the end, it’s not about never falling—it’s about always getting back up.
