Are you more of a night or morning person?
Definitely Morning……sort of.
As the day begins, I find myself mentally alert, ready to take on tasks, but chronic pain shapes my schedule.
I go to bed early because my body is simply done for the day, though I have to time it carefully. If I head to bed too early, I wake up too early—my body protests lying down for long periods, often forcing me to the recliner chair.
Mornings are slow. I ease into the day, letting painkillers kick in while planning to pace myself. I am constantly balancing energy and pain.
Once the pain returns, its hot water bottles, stretches, gentle walks, anything to ease the pain until I can take a soothing bath, and aim for a late-enough bedtime to ensure decent sleep.
Living with chronic pain means constantly adjusting all day, every day!
