Another victory for the Red Devils!!!

Michael Owen struck his second United goal in as many games as the Reds completed the double over the Malaysian XI with a comprehensive 2-0 victory.

Owen blasted home from close range on 13 minutes after capitalising on a loose ball inside the area having played his part in the build-up. Two minutes earlier Federico Macheda had opening the scoring with a calm finish following Darren Fletcher’s set-up.

In truth, the Reds could have had more – substitutes Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Anderson all went close late on in the second half, but it was certainly another useful work-out for Sir Alex’s men.

Jonny Evans was the only survivor from Saturday’s starting line-up against the same opposition with Sir Alex opting to give everyone some minutes on the clock. Ben Foster, a second half substitute in the first match, kept his place in goal, while Gary Neville, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans and Fabio made up the back four. Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick both returned from minor knocks to take up right side and central midfield positions respectively. Ryan Giggs partnered Carrick in the centre with Zoran Tosic on the left flank. Saturday's matchwinner Michael Owen started his first game for the Reds alongside Federico Macheda up front. Honestly, I did not watch both matches and I wanted to watch it so badly but still...haiz.... However, what I can say is, Malaysian football has really improved and they played well in both two matches. It is clearly seen that the spirit of football in those players though they are young players and lack of experience. They should practice more and play more with some elite teams. They should not be too self-assertive with their performance because they know that their standard is still low. They must improve if they want to win. Anyway, keep up the good work because we know that you all can play better.

Hmm….for Red Devils, Owen performance is not as bad as I expected. His first goal for the club is his first debut. Not many players can scores in their first debut; even the United’s former number 7 cannot even do that. Anyway, both teams had a good game, great performance; I would want to watch the match if only I had the chance. I cannot wait for the new season to start!!! I will love you forever, Manchester United!

Glory Glory Man United!!! Glory Glory Man United!!!
