What do you think would happen when the two definitions of LAME meets?
Philosophy

"The simpler the website, the more thought behind it. The more complex the website, the less thought behind it. Simplicity derived from complexity" - Bernard Ong. Geek quote of the day!
I never thought that website developing can even have philosophies behind them. I've always thought that a site is a site, where info just flows and has nice designs.
Berns broke that stereotype in my head when we were having a quick short talk on the website that we're gonna work on. Websites are not part of?marketing?or branding processes. If done well it can actually make a lot of difference in everything else that we maybe doing offline.
hmm.. oh well.. i think i'd stop the geek philosophy talk here. I have better purposes for my blog.. hahaha!
JoFan. Yes, it kinda means more work. The question is, what are you working for? What difference would it make? How much can you do with your own strength?
Project Love

People who stalks me on facebook would be curious what on earth is Project Love and all these things I do.
Well, it's basically inspired by Jaeson Ma and his new year resolution of doing a random act of kindness every single day to make a difference in people's life, GOing and SHOWing the sincere love we have in Christ and sharing it with people.
That's what I am trying to do too! trying my very best to do it although I may not be able to do something that significant daily, but I would really like to TRY.
Check my Twitter or facebook profile for updates on it! =P Though I also feel quite weird to be 'announcing' stuff like these, but for the sake of inspiration and encouragement, I shall do it. haha!
Encourage you guys to do so too. This is what life is all about. LOVE! Love your neighbours as yourself, love your enemies, we love because He first loved us, GOD IS LOVE! Love is the movement!
JoFan.
UNITED

The govenrment tried, NGOs tried, campaigns were runned, policies were made, laws were enacted, stupid cheesy taglines were made, education was carried out FOR YEARS to instill the spirit of unity amongst Malaysians and NOTHING practically worked out.
But lo and behold, we're not sure who's behind this incident, but we have experienced the unity amongst Malaysians, muslims and non-muslims, chinese or indian or malay, female or male, we all stood up together and we condemned the act of injustice and unrighteousness that has been done. Reading a whole bunch of whacking comments on a narrow-minded, extremist article on The Malaysian Insider really got me to believe that no matter how different we look, as Malaysians, we condemn the act of injustice, we KNOW what is WRONG and we LONG for a liberal and free country. Whoever it is can keep doing it, but I believe that would just make Malaysians stand stronger together.
Malaysians know what is right. With or without an official moral education, Malaysians know what is rational. We know what is respect. We know what is love.
If you think this is the time you leave Malaysia, well I'd say you're missing out big time on something awesome that's going to take place.
I don't know about you, but I deeply believe this series of incidents is more than what it SEEMS.
What was REALLY burned? What was REALLY ignited?
What was REALLY torn down? What was REALLY broken free?
Hmm....
JoFan. I see a near revival, staring as we pray and seek. I see a generation, rising up to take their place.
SIGH

I haven't been so emo in my life. My heart is seriously broken to pieces. What IN THE WORLD?
I'm not sad because churches are bombed, I'm not sad because of condemnation and oppression. I'm completely crushed by the fact that people just missing the point of it all. I can't stop thinking... WHY... WHY IN THE WORLD did the issue even started? WHY the CHILDISH... NAIVE... argument of who the word Allah belongs to.
DUDE! WE BELONG TO GOD! He is supposed to be the one taking the wheel of our lives. HE is the one shaping us. HE is LOVE and HE is our loving Father. Why does it seem that the whole thing is upside down? Why are people trying to FIGHT for one word like babies fight for TOYS? We are His!
It is in fact non-relevant at all to our personal relationship with God and how much it makes US His proud followers. Why the uproar? Will the fight make you anymore closer to God? Will the fight make you anymore 'spiritual'? Will the fight make any uplifting difference at all to your life and the life of others? Will it? NO! So why the fight?
I don't think I am pissed, I don't think I am angry, I am just really really crushed inside. I can't really explain why. Maybe this is what it feels to have your heart broken for what breaks God's.
My response?
"But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" - Matthew 5:44
"Tetapi sekarang Aku berkata kepada kamu: Kasihilah musuh kamu dan berdoalah bagi orang yang menganiaya kamu." -Matius 5:44
"Do to others as you would have them do to you. " -Luke 6:31
"Apa yang kamu ingin orang lain lakukan untuk kamu, lakukanlah hal itu untuk mereka." - Lukas 6:31
"Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." - Luke 23:34
"Yesus berkata,"Ya Bapa, ampunilah mereka! Mereka tidak mengetahui apa yang dilakukan oleh mereka."" - Lukas 23:34
All I feel like doing right now is to get a whole bunch of people and start praying, walls need to be torn down, justice needs to prevail, righteousness needs to be uplifted. We need to love each other so much more no matter who we are and where we are from. Malaysia needs freedom and liberation, this is about the free will we are given by God, this is about human rights not respected. Just like how prayer brought down the Berlin walls, this invinsible wall we have here needs to be torn down, something must be done. People are saying things like waiting for the world to change, but I believe we are all called to be a part of the change.
The people at Sabah and Sarawak who are a thousand times more liberal in this sense which I believe is because of their great relationship with God is fully in shock about this. They have signboards of churches everywhere, verses of encouragement by the roads and prayer rallies in public 'datarans' forever. And most definately not mentally chained and restricted to publicly talk about their faith. A few of us had a chat with Tabitha (a new friend we got to know) from Sabah who joined us for conference at the Subang Parade McDs the other day. She was actually very curious and astonished by how we do not have the freedom to everything they have freedom for, so much so that sometimes they even take it for granted. The 'A' word has been used in their Bible for as long as before the country even achieved independance, in fact I am a proud owner of one and no UPROARS happened whatsoever.
For those who still don't get the naiveness of this issue. I have 2 friends, Timothy Goh and Timothy Hong. It's like both of them ended up fighting to use the name Timothy because apparently that word DEFINES who they are. Tuan-tuan dan puan-puan, I would like to make it clear that WHO YOU ARE is defined INSIDE.
Tun Mahathir was probably right, this issue shouldn't be settled by law.
I shall add on: It shouldn't exist at all! =)
JoFan. Turn from ourselves, look beyond, there is so much more than this.
Tear down the walls see the world
Is there something we have missed
Turn from ourselves
Look beyond
There is so much more than this
And I dont need to see it to believe it
I dont need to see it to believe it
Cause I cant shake this
Fire deep inside my heart
Look to the skies hope arise
See His majesty revealed
More than this life there is love
There is hope and this is real
Cause I dont need to see it to believe it
I dont need to see it to believe it
Cause I cant shake this fire burning
Deep inside my heart
This life is Yours and hope is rising
As Your glory floods our hearts
Let love tear down these walls
That all creation would
Come back to You
Its all for You
Your Name is glorious
Glorious
Your love is changing us
Calling us
To worship in spirit and in truth
As all creation returns to You
Oh for all the sons and daughters
Who are walking in the darkness
You are calling us to lead them back to You
We will see Your spirit rising
As the lost come out of hiding
Every heart will see this hope we have in You
PS: Janice and Selena is right, there's nothing I can skip bolding in this lyrics.
Guess what’s new?

The year! =D
Anyways, school started if you haven't realized and for SOME reasons, I am stil the KT! Gosh, 4 years plus in a row as a class monitor. Planned to get off the job but lets just accept that i's part of the calling to serve. =)
CF started pretty cool. Really looking forward for a different year ahead. =) Yes, the form 3s came to morning session and I grabbed the awesome people I knew (yes, the form2s last year i mentioned about. those in chs.. =P) to join us at morning watch. Mel, Jaclyn and Justin! Awesomeness! According to Mel, if she's there, many others will sure to be joining and.. and.. she claims her name is awesome, talk about Alexness. Jaclyn has been... LATE... with her bro.. hahaha! Justin looks weird in long pants and has HIS CHINESE NAME EXPOSED! I personally think it's hillarious.. hahaha! Oh well, a glimpse of the future of CF? xD
As for the OLD people, still as hyper and lame as ever. Which is awesome! Still loving it to start the day off with God together with the bunch. Notable event: one SMALL grasshopper standing in the middle of the CF room became a HUGE distraction to about 20 people sitting in a circle for the whole morning watch today. Amusing. Small people able to do GREAT THINGS. DEFINATELY PROVEN!
Oh yes, I finally decided I have to start owning back my studies this year. I seriously can't recall how i went off track last year but anyway It's the last year of school and SOMETHING has to be done about it. =) Do hard things, count on God!
zkay, alicia, ian, glavin... study group set arh! =P
I must really admit though that Henry Ford's quote hit me awake. I've mentioned this before, but I'm gonna do it again. "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right." Which also remind me of something zkay said some time ago on my Facebook. There was this quiz about "Can JoFan Pang rap?" She answered, "He can if he wants to.." Haha! She does know me well and I do agree with it. So I have decided that I 'want to' and by God's grace and strength I am working towards it! =)
Other notable random info should be how our class got to skip 10th period today. haha! The afternoon session was so desperate to use the class our teacher had to give it up. But I must say that ponteng is BORING. Nothing's happening around and it's just you and the bunch of people figuring out what to do for the next half an hour.. hahaha! Ponteng is NOT fun, MYTH BUSTED!
JoFan. Godspeed!

Sometimes the best way to remind yourself about something is just to talk to someone about it. I've learned pretty much about it in the past few weeks.
Issues huh... haha! Not that I'm a hyper huge emofied tragical issue, but this classic song by Switchfoot really is refreshing. In fact, I think this post is dedicated to people who think they are in those issues.
Meant To Live.
Digest the lyrics, people. =)
*Jon Foreman and Switchfoot during 2006 mou? hahaha!*
Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bid for more than arguments
And failed attempts to fly, fly
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live
-----------------------------
Yea, we were MEANT TO LIVE. We were NOT MEANT to die and to give up on hope and life. There is so much more than life other than what THIS WORLD has got to offer, keep seeking and you shall find.
We were meant to live for SO MUCH MORE. Why give up because of one little issue? Why throw away an apple that has one tiny dark spot that can just be cut away?
I've said this before, MAYBE... just MAYBE.... it's time to zoom out and look at the BIG picture? MAYBE.. just MAYBE... you just need Somebody to explain that BIG picture? MAYBE... just MAYBE... that might change your life forever.
JoFan. Have we lost ourselves?
Text Me When You’re Officially Changed

I've been doing lots of bonding with people lately, having deep talks and also lame talks, I must say either way they are pretty productive. Getting to know people more, getting to know their passions, their problems, getting encouraged and inspired, getting to encourage and also help them. I think it all can be summed up with one word, CARE. The love of da awesome J is everywhere.
This is the love that should exists in the Body of Christ today. Really. In fact this is ALL we need. LOVE and CARE and SUPPORT for each other. That's all we need to change the world, to go for Greater Things together, to set a fire of revival in the nation. Somewhere along the way, some people have gotten carried away by how to run a service or a church or a fellowship and to make it great rather than our Great Commission, to bring the love of Christ to people.
"Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other." - John 13:34-3
The same book that tells us the TRUTH about greater things, told us this as well. True genuine unconditional love that overflows from the love of God to us shown to the world, that's revolution. It warms the world up with love and care. Spiritual global warming anyone? haha!
Think I'm being Idealistic? Think I should come back to reality? Yea, pretty much! =) A few decades ago, it was idealistic that blacks and whites should enjoy equal rights in the US. A decade ago, It was idealistic in Malaysia that the parliament should achieve equilibrium. A century ago, it was idealistic that you and I should even go to school! Yesterday, It was idealistic that you'd even survive today! So tell me, WHAT IS BEING IDEALISTIC?
Have i mentioned that in His words, He believed in us that we would succeed in Great Things? Have I told you that it is psychological to think that you CANNOT? that you are NOT PRO ENOUGH? that you are NOT READY? Before the word TEENAGER was introduced in the 80s, there was just childhood and adulthood and you and I should already be qualified to lead an army, to work as an adult, even more effecttive becuase of our physical advantages. Then the word 'teenager' was introduced, 'teenagers' turned into some lowly creature with accomplishing your chores and cleaning up that bed as a BIG DEAL. Not that you shouldn't do it, it should come naturally. So the expectations dropped, so did the performances. Tragically. But the fact remains, WE ARE GIVEN THE ABILITY TO ACCOMPLISH IMPACTFUL THINGS.
"Either you think you can or you think you can't, you're probabaly right.", says Henry Ford, the founder of Ford.
So how does it relate? I suppose it's time to stand up, everyone and anyone. The lies from the evil one shall be revealed. CHANGE IS POSSIBLE. Any kind of CHANGE.
He said 'Let there be light' and there was light! He said through a prophet 'A child shall be born unto us' and yearrss later it happened, it changed the world 360. Gosh I have no time and space to list tonnes of the others. But according to that trend, what do you think would happen if He tells us these?
"For NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE with GOD." - Luke 1:37
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." - John 14:12
JoFan.
PS: I think the title is GREAT! haha! Janice left me with that. Though she was referring to my change from DiGi to the Hotlink Youth Club plan. But if you take it deeper, it does mean a lot. Miraculously fits the title for this post as well. Way to go sis! =P
She's an awesome sis by the way, really inspiring person, proud to call her a sibling and to look like her (or vice versa) or whatever.. haha! Check out her blog here and here.
--------
So telepathically, Janice my sister wrote something that pretty much compliments this post without really knowing what i wrote. It's pretty cool. haha! So ladies and gentlemen, the OTHER part of this post. =)
The Difference?

When somebody seems desperate in moving on and pushing and challenges on the higher position...
It is either the person is power crazy and power is all he seeks..... or the person is desperate to see real change to happen and to get things to really move on for the benefit of the majority.
Type 1#
VERY COMMON... VERY VERY COMMON. I wouldn't say they are lifeless, I wouldn't say they are attention seekers, well they just don't know what to live for, and they chose themselves. And we all know it's never ever gonna be satisfying that way. Hence, the power craziness, the popularity chases. They would never end, imagine the consequences, tragic! Believe it or not, it is alrady happening in front of our own eyes, just take some time and read your newspapers... or go online to read non-propaganda ones. OR why not read some real history books, what really happened during the May 13 incident? Why did it happen? Or zooming in time a bit, what in the world happened to the already-irrelavant MCA? Lets not even talk about politics. Why did the guy/girl spread untrue gossips about you around the club/class/school?
Wait, do YOU do that? Just to somehow get on top and get all the attention in the world? If you think you are, okay....the big question... now what? Think about it. ![]()
Type 2#
These are the people who are AWESOME! =P I remember YB Hannah Yeoh (yea, she rocks!) sometime ago was also called to the MACC office for investigation for being involved in corruption. Well, it was nothing to her. She continued to serve the community, did her job, and keep walking the talk. These little issues didn't stop her, they couldn't. Discouragement didn't even get close. Why? Because she, and everyone she served saw and enjoyed the fruit of her labour, it's obvious she's living in righteousness and defended justice. While some OTHER random YBs who does nothing gets involved just in investigation, some little demonstration could have taken place. The point is, who cares about the little issues when there are Greater Things to focus on? When what matters the most is the big picture and not the speck of dust on it? Stop talking and start DOING!
Choose the stand up when there isn't anybody who wants to do it, choose the lives of people and choose justice and fight towards it. Our agressiveness might be judged wrongly, our passion might be felt wrongly, but the fruit of our actions will talk LOUDLY, as long as we live for the God ALMIGHTY.
Hmmmm...... bottomline? You gotta know the heart of that person.. what does he live by? =)
Politics... sigh. Things like these shouldn't stop us from Greater Things. The big picture and the goal is what everyone should focus on. If God is for us, no one shall be againts us. Amen? =)
