First Special No.

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

I did my first ever special number at the 2nd soft launch of Calvary Contemporary Service last Sunday and I must say it was quite an eye opening experience. I played and sang along with Aileen and Patrina, who was playing as well. I was scared out of my wits during the whole special number (if my singing didn't give it away, my strumming pattern did). Nonetheless, we made it through, alive fortunately. (: Thanks for all the support, really appreciate it. I also wanna thank Kevin! Who was being ever so patient with us when we were figuring out the arrangement of the song and for being so supportive!

Aileen, myself and Patrina.Whenever this guy is around, well let's just say he never fails to bring out this side of me.Nerds of the century! (oh the irony)

Lil Ones

Image0328I feel like running. Feels like forever since I really ran.So carefree and without worries.

It was great having baby Shane and Elyssa over 2 weeks ago. They were hyper kids but it was my my pleasure to have had babysat them. Shane, one tough boy and Elyssa, a cili padi, but at the end of the day with all the muscle aches from all the carrying them around, it was all worth it. To see them smile and laugh, that's my goal (:

Image0329My cousin has a taste for these kind of shirt for her kids. Cute.

Goodbye Then

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I didn't have time to write about the graduation/Pn. Lim's retirement that was on Wednesday, so here goes.

In a blink of an eye, the year is coming to a close. I must say it's been a great year, more than great actually having all the company I had. Christian Fellowship was different this year. With new ones coming in and joining our one big happy family, including the ChiLa family. Chia Lit hasn't told us what that meant yet and we're still trying to make him tell us, to no avail really. Without realising it, we've grown to love each other and care for one another throughout this whole year. We had said our goodbyes and hopefully it won't just end here. I'll miss you guys. Enough said. Bye Chia Lit [Chi La A], Natalie [Nyap La], Chee Yan [Zhu La], Si Yong, Lie Yang, Vivien, Yi Wen, John & Esther.CF

Most of our big family.
Grace, Lie Kiet, Natalie, Lie yang, John Ho, Chia Lit, Germaine Chng, Shu Min, Shu Li, Jo Fan, En Wei, Chee Yan and I.

I hope I didn't miss anyone out.  Sorry if I did. My most sincere apologies. :)

Guitar Hero, Pancakes & MJ movie

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Stayed over at Jocelyn's house last night and we watched Batman, again! We agreed it was a good movie so she popped it into the PS3 and played it. It was yet another thrilling experience to watch it again. Don't think I'll ever get bored of it. Her parents brought back dinner for us. Porridge :) Enough said. After the movie, both of us were very much exhausted due to the retirement and graduation on Wednesday. We decided to hit the sacks.
Jocelyn is one funny girl. When she washed up and ready for bed, she said she felt refreshed. :s OKAY. So I suggested we play guitar hero, on her PS3!Guitar HeroOh it was fun :) I couldn't use the guitar simulator I borrowed because it was for a PS2. We made do with one guitar simulator and a controller and I'm sure it would have been as fun as if we had 2 guitar simulators. We played till about 30minutes past 12 and it was clear that it was bedtime.
Lights off.

Wanna know a FF about Jocelyn Khoo Pei Lin? She wakes up at 5 in the morning everyday. I kid you not!
This morning however, she woke up later than usual, a little past 7. Right about when I woke up too. Got washed up, made breakkie!

Pouring the batterMorning Jocelyn and happy birthday! and NO she didn't do all the cooking. I helped too.

On the panThe batter in the pan. Smells good, with a tinge of cinnamon.

FlippingThere we go flipping the pancake and it's ready!

Breakfast was good. Period.
Then, we watched one episode of dollhouse. Oh my word, it's so confusing I don't get it. She exposed me to episode 13. She said it's somehow an epilogue, oh wells.

After we showered and got dressed, we headed to Midvalley for our movie we've been anticipating for a week or so. The MJ movie This Is It.

Got together with the other 6 girls [Yee Teng, Daphne, Joanne, Li Ean,Yi Yin and Twan Ting] and entered the cinema.

It was an awesome movie. A must watch! Those who are still contemplating to watch or not to, please do get a ticket. I am not a MJ fan but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Lunched at Sushi King. Somehow Yee Teng couldn't stop laughing during lunch and the whole chair was somewhat vibrating because she laughs really hard. Enjoyed the company and unofficially celebrating Jocelyn's birthday.

We ended up in the arcade after lunch. Brings back memories. I guess the arcade is a good place to kill some time if you have no idea what to do. Played some games. It's pretty pathetic because their games are quite easy and petite. We were like a bunch of teenagers trying to look like we're 6, honestly. This is who we are, this is who I am. :)

HennessyHappy 16th birthday once again Jocelyn, cheers ;)

Leslie’s 16!

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Since Leslie Koon Tzer Peng has been such a great friend, we decided to celebrate his birthday, in Sanbanto. Sanbanto specializes in selling pork and also has a small cafe in it, where we spent our evening today. So all you pork lovers out there, this is a place you definitely would want to visit. It's in SS2, same row as Maybank.

Leslie's Cake

So we got his cake our first after tuition.

Blowing the cake without the fire

Got him to blow and wish on his imagined lighted candle. Don't want to burn down Edusmart do we?Cutting the cake

Cut the cake, cut the cake!

Then we headed out to Sanbanto for dinner. Daniel

Presenting to you Daniel Foong here as your appetizer. If you are wondering who he was "seducing", it was poor Wei Jun. Got the goose bumps yet?

Smiling Daniel

Finally he gave us a charming smile.Xia and I

Yummy cheese baked meatballs. They were a wee bit expensive though."I can't smile properly"

The boy whom we came all the way out to eat with[for me at least!]. He says he can't smile properly if there's a camera focused on him. Or, maybe he's just camera shy?AX trying to be lala

AX. What was his full name again? Aun Xiang? Sorry, did I get it right?
See what his shirt says? :) cute ain't it?This time blowing his lighted candle

The bunch. With Xia looking a little blur. The bunch

Take 2 with Daniel blocking me[and also looking a bit weird.Haha]!Image0111Took another picture before Xia left. It took us about 5 minutes to get this picture. Xia's dad kept shaking with my phone while taking the picture so we kept re-taking. This is best out of the 4 pictures taken. :)

So, happy belated birthday again Leslie Koon Tzer Peng.
Beloved friend, tuition mate and my class monitor. All the best to you as you grow a year older [and your muscles you are going to work your ass out for]. Hope you grow up a lil, yea? :)

As promised Xia. ;)

Children’s Day 09!

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Recently it's been a little bit tougher than usual I must say. With the finals towering over me and everything else. The getaway wasn't much help but it did ease a little of that much piled up burden. Will update on my holiday later. Can't find the camera cable at the moment.

So we had Children's Day in Cw today. There were helium balloons
EVERYWHERE. So fun right?! Makes me feel like a kid once again. =)Image0079

They had me tied with 2 helium balloons. A baby blue and a white!

Image0081

And all the musicians were tied with helium balloons too! See how happy Timot is with his.

Led the kids into worship with Brenda this morning and I must say, keep up the good work. Don't worry about all the mistakes, let the mistakes worry for itself! Just do your best. =)

Thanks for being all ears when I need you and the company that is just priceless. Starbucks got me broke. Lol. Thanks loads, M. And for someone who is across the globe, rest assured he's taken care of. ;)

For Jared and Adam, thanks for cheering me up with your squeaky voices [effect of inhaling helium gas]. You guys never fail to amuse me.

Love,
Lainie.

Jonathan’s House

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Attended Jonathan C's "open house last night with Ronald and Gabriel after CY service. Gab, Ronald and I checked out his room when we were there. Got to see his house and his room. His room is a messy messy place but it looks real cosy.

Picture 002

His room.

Fascinated by the lappie?

Our "host" for the night.

Ronald *points at the wall*-"Hey! Look!"
Haha.
How cute.

Picture 031

The food was good. Met Jonathan's cousin sister who so happen to be of the same age. She was a very easy person to talk to. Glad to have met her.

I guess overall, the part was a great way to know my friends better [be it only Ronald, Gab & John].

Heart,
Lainie.
