Physics 101

Bernoulli's principle states that:- higher velocity = lower pressure.

Hypothesis: the faster I type, the lower the pressure exerted on the keyboard.

Have I become a Science freak?

This speed typing test has recently become something hot among people. Showing off their typing speeds, they beat each others' records and try to strive for more. Which, doesn't make any sense in doing so.

The Gliding Serpent

Perhaps I shouldn't have let this snake into my house. Because everytime I see it, I want to touch it and feel its nice texture.

And perhaps you don't know it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Death Adder. You might think I am crazy enough to own a snake, let alone touch it. But indeed, I love it so much. I'm always afraid it will distract me from my studies during this hectic exam period. Fortunately for me, I'm not that obsessive with it as you'd expect me to be.

A brief introduction to the Death Adder...

barkley-adder-rezie-full

"Acanthophis is a genus of highly venomous elapid snakes. Commonly called death adders, they are native to Australia, New Guinea and nearby islands, and are among the most venomous snakes in the world. Death adders are very viper-like in appearance, having a short, robust body, triangular shaped heads and small subocular scales. They also have vertical pupils and many small scales on the top of the head. Their fangs are also longer and more mobile than for most other elapids."

-Wikipedia, man's second best friend, behind google.

Hear that? Death Adders are among the most venomous snakes in the world. It kills, it frags and it pwns. Get a clue right now?

Mejournals Blog Launch

Finally, my very own mejournals blog is officially launched!

Mejournals utilises a local Malaysian server which makes connections (from Malaysia) blazing fast. And, from a blogger client migrating to Wordpress, I guess Wordpress definitely has functions aplenty as well as a couple of new features: pages, plugins, fully customisable media, plenty of settings to play around with and themes like no other.

Looking back... actually I still find Blogger more user friendly. But I'll adapt to Wordpress pretty soon.

Look at this! After using command prompt to ping mejournals.com, it turns out, it only took 11ms. Now, I have to admit I have never seen that type of lightning fast connection speeds from my computer.

So here, with my words, it's the official lauch of kai.mejournals.com!

The Impossible Cube

Look at this colourful cube. So simple it is built, yet so difficult to comprehend.

Extremely difficult, it is.
Without a mathematician to propose a series of solutions and/or formulae, it is practically impossible for one to completely solve the puzzle. Of course, currently plenty of people have the ability to solve the seemingly-impossible puzzle, thanks to the various solutions facilitated by advanced mathematicians.
It has troubled people ever since. It is the very symbol of IQ itself. People who could solve the cube are often regarded as smart. But what intelligence is there when you could just refer to the solutions given? The mathematicians who worked out the solution is the symbol of IQ.
However, it is said to be the world's best-selling toy, with sales approximately up to 300,000,000 worldwide in 2005 itself.
Seriously, no one but advanced mathematicians know how hard it is to solve a Rubik's Cube.
Looks can be deceiving. Simple structure, and countless possibilities.
